At ‘Chemist Trust‘, we prioritize safe and timely delivery of medications to our customers. Our Proof of Delivery (POD) Policy ensures transparency, accountability, and efficiency in each of our delivery process. This document outlines our order processing, verification methods, and responsibilities for confirming the successful receipt of orders.
Definition of Proof of Delivery
Proof of Delivery (POD) is a formal confirmation that an order has been successfully delivered to the customer or the recipient. It serves as legal evidence that the products have reached the customer in good condition. Our POD includes essential details such as:
- Recipient’s name and signature
- Delivery date and time
- Order details (medications, quantity, and condition)
- Delivery agent’s name and ID
Methods of Proof of Delivery
‘Chemist Trust’ employs the following Proof Of Delivery (POD) methods to ensure reliability and accuracy of the delivery:
Electronic Signature Confirmation
- Customers receiving their orders must sign digitally on the delivery agent’s device.
- The electronic signature is securely stored in our system for future reference.
- A copy of the signed POD is sent to the customer via email or SMS.
Physical Signature on Paper Receipt
- For areas with limited digital accessibility, customers may sign a physical delivery receipt.
- The delivery agent submits the signed receipt to our system for records.
- A scanned copy is made available upon request.
OTP (One-Time Password) Verification
- Customers may receive a unique OTP via SMS or email upon dispatch.
- The OTP must be provided to the delivery agent at the time of receipt.
- Once verified, the order is marked as delivered in our system.
Photo Proof of Delivery
- If the recipient is unavailable, the delivery agent may take a photograph of the package at the designated drop-off location.
- This method is used only with prior customer consent and for non-prescription items.
Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a faster and smooth delivery process, customers must provide:
- accurate shipping details and contact information.
- Be available at the scheduled delivery time or authorize an alternative recipient.
- Inspect the package upon receipt and report any issues immediately.
- Sign or verify the POD as required.
Failed Delivery Attempts
In cases where delivery cannot be completed:
- First Attempt: The delivery agent will attempt to contact the customer.
- Second Attempt: A second delivery attempt will be made within 24-48 hours.
